Let’s start with what it’s not. It’s not a hodge-podge of speakers scattered about a room. That’s what it’s not. At it’s core, a home theater system is an audio video system made up by a minimum of 6 channels. Pretty simple right?
In short, 5.1 surround sound means, 5 speakers, and 1 subwoofer. A vast majority of systems that we install today are capable of an astounding 7.2, 9.2 even 11.2! . We use our 20 years of experience to place the speakers in precise locations for improved dialogue, imaging and realism.
